SOTOGRANDE'S TELEVISION CHANNEL ON THE INTERNET
We attended the Rock the Rock festival with our Presenters Martine Williams and Jason Oliver.
The event started with a new young band on the scene 'The Noiz' who had many of their fans there to cheer them along. A very entertaining show and Jason had the opportunity to interview this local band as they left the stage...
Secondly, a performance from the local Spanish band 'Taxi' who played well into the sun going down.
Then came the main acts. Firstly the World famous Alan Parsons Project. Alan is a very well respected in the music industry and for very good reason, he and his Band are consumate professionals!
The festival concluded with the Headliners, Simple Minds are a Scottish rock band who achieved worldwide popularity from the mid-1980s to the early 1990s. They sang all their classic hits including their hit single "Don't You (Forget About Me)", from the soundtrack of the John Hughes movie The Breakfast Club, No 3 US hit single "Alive and Kicking" and No 1 UK hit single Belfast Child.
A truly great night that went on well into the early hours...
